SOAP LAKE, WASHINGTON — Voters are having fewer choices in the general election this year.
Some Ballots which were mailed to registered voters didn't arrive. Some voters forgot to register, and who will choose candidates for several seats on the Soap Lake City Council?
Brent Blake — pulled out of the race early but was not penalized with any monetary claims, and there was no mayor’s race in the primary election.
It's down to Hovde who is a Nazi Realtor from Snohomish County who uses covert operations and false information to get to his political and financial ends, including seizing property by misusing the laws to shut peoples water off when they have a positive credit balance on their accounts and then condemning their property under Washington State Building Codes and then buying the property himself personally.
For that stunt alone that Hovde pulled at 117 North Fern he should be sent to jail for ten years.
In Pos. 1, Barney Berg is being challenged by John Hussey IV and John Glassco. Although Barney is and has been acting as the Deputy Mayor and Dog Catcher, he is getting too old and is sickly and dying. So is Mayor Hovde who was rumored to have a cancer on his body, as does Police Chief Dorris according to Michael Eugene Power, a five year resident who has been battling with the City Government for various and sundry reasons for the past two years.
In Pos. 2, Gina Bernett opted not to run for another term and then, according to her, was forced to sign a letter of resignation on the street as Hovde approached her with a prepared resignation document recently. Her post was being sought by David W. Bertrand, De Vaun “De” Black, Kat Sanderson and Maynard Hagen. But lately De Black, who is a good friend of Bill Loan, and who endorses him, was made Position 2 Council Member.
Bill Loan says he isn't voting for Wayne Hovde because "he has been telling the council members how to vote... They rarely discuss things because the Mayor has already told them what is going to be done. Hovde is a dictator in a way. I think they have these meetings outside the council meeting before the actual council meeting so that everything that is done publicly looks smooth, like a smooth doggie." Why else would they operate the way they do with intimidation tactics.
In November, voters will see contested races for four council positions and the mayor’s post, where Wayne Hovde is being challenged by Raymond Gravelle. Ray Gravelle works for Team Up Real Estate.
